THE RIGHT TIME TO MODERNIZE
Although a typical equipment lifetime last 15-20 years, there can be many factors that will reduce the usable life i.e., water ingress, vandalism, intensity and the initial design of the equipment. The most common determination for the right time to modernize would be but not limited to component obsolescence, change in building use or population, staying in competition with newer buildings, environmental pressure e.g., green initiative and new safety legislations.
Types of Modernization

1
Partial Modernization
Most economical. Increase service life of another 10 years with a modernized controller, electrifications and door drive. This upgrade also provides substaintial energy savings and ride comfort.
2
Full Modernization
Most value! Increase service life for the next 20 years with a huge decrease in OPEX. The hoisting machine will be replaced together with other major safety components. Max energy savings!
3
Full Replacement
Best improvement. Everything brand new however, not economic for high-rise. Recommended to, if your car sling and guide rails are worn beyond safe-to-use levels. Builder's work required.
